Krisspi Technologies, Inc has created the premier on-demand luxury haircut company, allowing clients to schedule in-person appointments with highly rated, licensed, and vetted hairstylists. Krisspi is like “Uber” for haircuts and will be available across the nation with hair service providers on demand at any time. Push a button and get a hair provider within an hour.
According to the latest report by MBO Partners, “The State of Independence in America,” the gig economy has produced 15.8 million workers, who are full-time. These workers earn an average of $15.00 per hour and do not have the skills necessary to earn more money in a traditional job. A key to their choice is not just the money. Many workers are attracted to the freedom and flexibility that independent gig jobs offer. For them, it is the best of both worlds.


Problem

The Problem for Barbers/Hair Stylists

Krisspi Inc. will also rely on Barbers & Stylists that want to say goodbye to the traditional model of employment. Having to rent a chair, and report to the shop owner. Many got into the business, because of the ability to run their own business. They dreamed of finishing Barber/Cosmetology school, earning their license, and then opening their own shops. Being their own boss. But often, this takes years to accomplish. Krisspi has a solution to speed up the process and give stylists the keys to their dream job.

The Problem for Clients

Clients have endured the practices of barbershop & Salon owners for decades. It’s common to drive long distances just to go to a Hair Stylist that a person has been using for years. Often driving past cities with Hair Stylists that have open chairs and could be better than the Hair Stylist you have. The opportunity to look up a new Hair Stylist is daunting, and most just keep putting up with the inefficient process they create. This challenge is exasperated if a client must travel. There is nothing like having an event, and not being able to get to one’s Hair Stylist in time. If you arrive in a new city without a haircut, you will find it difficult to get a referral to a place that you feel confident in to get the job done. That is when you think…there must be a better way. That is where Krisspi comes in.

Solution

Krisspi Inc is an Application, built for the busy professionals. Krisspi allows a user to create a free account and get access to 100’s of Hair Stylists who have already been vetted and are licensed by the Barber Association. Our application gives the power back to the client. Allowing them to schedule an appointment at home, office, or hotel. This appointment can be either on-demand or booked in the future. The application keeps track of your spending and allows a user to get matched to the Krisspi provider closest to them.

Krisspi Providers make $56.00 per hour.

As users order hair cuts from the professional stylists working on Krisspi, we earn 30% of the revenue from each session.

Revenue Projections

We launched our MVP in the market in June of 2020. From June 2020 – December 2020, we recorded $30,000 in revenue. We received 377 appointment requests and completed 290 at a completion percentage of 76.4%.
We now have the metrics to increase our marketing budget from $3,000 per month to $50,000 per month. This marketing increase will propel our revenue to $ 1,678,000 in the first year of full operation.

Krisspi will be initially focused on men’s and women’s haircuts, then transition to a full line on-demand experience.
We have the capability now, for stylists to offer beauty products at the time of purchase. This will morph into our stylists selling beauty products at the time of service to compliment the sale. The product will be ordered in the App and then drop-shipped to the client’s location.

BackgroundDerrick Butler is originally from Columbus, Georgia, and grew up in a military/entrepreneurial household, where his father was an officer in the Army for 30 years, and his mother was a licensed barber and a publisher. Derrick chose business as a career path early, as he began working in his mother’s business at the age of 11. Growing up in the business world gave Derrick a passion for Entrepreneurship, and he believed that a degree in business was a necessity to achieve success. Derrick graduated college with his Bachelor of Science in Business, and then attended Saint Mary’s College to complete his Executive MBA. Derrick is currently the Founder/CEO of Krisspi Technologies, an application-based company that connects barbers and hairstylists with clients who need hair services at home, office, or hotel. Krisspi is like “Uber” for barbers and hairstylists. Krisspi has received national press in Digital Journal, PR Underground, and most recently on the digital news site Recently Heralded. Derrick is married with (5) five kids, and an avid speaker/coach. Derrick is also an active member of (2) two alumni fraternities Pershing Riflemen, and Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc., and holds a leadership position in both.

BackgroundMario Goins is a co-founder and CTO of Krisspi Technologies which provide Hairstyles in an On-Demand platform which allows users to set up styling appointments right when they need them. He has worked for Companies like Bank of the West, Gilead LifeSciences, Donor Network West as well as government institutions like USDA and NASA. His experience includes: 1. Online Banking Platform Development 2. Enterprise Oracle and Microsoft SQL Administration 3. Online Security MFA Authentication Development 4. IOS and Android Application Development 5. Intranet Enterprise Development Mario started out wanting to become a cardiologist when he enrolled in University of California Davis. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Molecular and Microbiology. While working in the lab he discovered computer programming and wrote his first program after reading a book left on a counter. He then wrote several programs that the USDA still uses today for sample processing. He quickly enrolled in a Masters Degree in Computer Engineering and was selected by NASA to help in the Biomolecular Engineering Department working on Satellite and Autonomous Hardware Development. This work allowed him to create programs which he took to the private sector and worked as a Senior Applications Engineer for Bank of the West and Donor Network West. In addition to being a CTO he is also active in his community by helping underserved kids get an opportunity to learn technology of the future in hopes that they become S.T.E.M. students.
